The Last Drop Village is situated on the fringe of breathtaking open countryside near Bolton. It’s made up of a derelict 18th Century farm, barn and shippon known as Orrell Fold, whose chequered past gives the area a true sense of history. The buildings of the Fold have been lovingly restored and converted, creating the pretty Last Drop Village.
As well as being a beautiful place in itself, the Village has many attractions.
The old farm kitchen is now home to a jeweller’s and a bookshop, while Poppies
supplies beautiful fresh and silk flower arrangements. Meanwhile, there’s a
traditional toy shop selling the best in quality wooden toys and games. After
exploring the village, take the weight off your feet and relax with refreshments
from the
tea shop.
So why the name? Could it be that hangings were a regular event at the Last Drop? Or is there a beer shortage? We’re not saying – you’ll have to pay us a visit and ask us in person!
